Information Management support for GIFMM in Colombia
Information management support for GIFMM sectors in Colombia

The Interagency Group on Mixed Migration Flows (GIFMM) was created in late 2016 and is co-led by IOM and UNHCR. Nearly 1.8 million Venezuelan migrants and refugees have fled to Colombia in recent years, with no clear end to the ongoing crisis. The R4V and GIFMM sectors were formally launched in November 2019 as part of the RMRP 2020. iMMAP, working alongside KUERY as its technology partner, provided information management support to the sectors between 2021 and 2024 in coordination with GIFMM.
To this end, the Sectors and GIFMM developed a protocol for sharing work across a portfolio of products designed to improve decision-making — enabling sector-level innovation while ensuring that GIFMM information products were designed, implemented, and published under a unified brand strategy.
